In a short blog post, Easel has announced it is shutting down. New signups are no longer being accepted, and the service will no longer be available on October 31, 2014.
GitHub bought Easel in January, its second acquisition after Ordered List back in 2011. The Y Combinator graduate offered a browser-based visual tool for designing and prototyping.
At the time, Easel was expected to continue working, though there were no details regarding potential integration with GitHub. The company explained that paying customers be able to keep using the service, while also enjoying customer and service support.
