Tencent introduces TOS+, its open OS for smart hardware

Chinese internet giant Tencent announced today the launch of its own operating system, cunningly named Tencent Operating System (TOS+). The new OS is free and open to developers and manufacturers who agree to share their revenue. This is similar to what Google does with its Android OS. TOS+ offers voice recognition and mobile payment systems which will operate on smart hardware devices as well as TVs and connected homeware.
