SAN FRANCISCOIntel named the winners of its Technology Innovation Accelerated (TIA) Awards here at the Intel Developer Forum, awarding Alcatel-Lucent, Lenovo, and Microsoft "Best of Show" prizes for "exceptional use of Intel technology."
Alcatel-Lucent's CloudBand platform was recognized as "Best of Show" in the software and services category, while Lenovo won top honors in the hardware category for its redesigned ThinkPad Helix 2-in-1 powered by Intel's new Core M chips, and Microsoft's Windows Storage Server 2012 R2 Essentials took home a "Best of Show" trophy in the combined solutions category.
Of 55 applicants vying for TIA Awards recognition, 25 finalists were selected by Intel in the three categories, which were further broken down into nine sub-categories. Journalists and analysts attending IDF voted on the final winners.
In addition to the "Best of Show" awards collected by Alcatel-Lucent, Lenovo, and Microsoft, here's the full list of winners recognized by Intel for displaying "innovation in the integration of suites of hardware, software, services, and support that creates new capabilities for all facets in people's livesfocusing on productivity, information, and entertainment."
