Hundreds of Dropbox passwords leak online in alleged hack


A thread has surfaced on Reddit that allegedly contains hundreds of usernames and password for Dropbox accounts.


In four Pastebin files linked to from the site, hundreds of username and password pairs were listed in plain text as “teases” for a full leak from an anonymous user. The message at the top of the leak said:



Here is another batch of Hacked Dropbox accounts from the massive hack of 7,000,000 accounts

Users in the Reddit thread have confirmed the credentials in the spreadsheet work.


It’s best if you enable two-factor authentication on Dropbox and change your password immediately.


In the last few minutes, Dropbox has forced a password reset for many users when attempting to log in on the website, likely related to this hack.
