It may be April Fools day, but that’s not stopping Facebook from an unveiling actual, real product.
The company today launched a collaborative video app called Riff.
It’s a pretty simple app. You create a video and set some tags for it, and then your friends can see the video and add their own clips to it. Thisthen has a bit of a snowball effect to it; once a friend adds a clip, it’ll be shown to his or her friends, and they can add clips to the Riff as well.
A short video can therefore become a long collaborative project. Facebook says you can share these Riffs on either Facebook or the Web, and you can watch a sample the company has made here.
Riff is available for both Android and iOS now.
