Topping tech headlines on Monday was China's crackdown on iPhone smugglers.

Police in recent days busted a number of iPhone 6 smugglers, most recently seizing a batch of 453 smartphones in Shanghai estimated to be worth $320,000, according to the official Xinhua News Agency. The phones are being sold for a pretty penny in China, where the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus have not yet arrived. These sales have a short shelf life, though; Apple said today that its new iPhones arrives in China on Oct. 17.

In other news, Facebook re-launched the Atlas advertising platform, which allows marketers to tap into Facebook's collection of users to direct ads at people via other websites and mobile apps. The social network purchased Atlas from Microsoft last year.

HP, meanwhile, unveiled its Stream line of budget-priced, Windows-based laptops and tablets. There are two of each device: an 11.6-inch and 13.3-inch laptop, and a 7-inch Stream 7 and 8-inch Stream 8 tablet. All four come with 1TB of free OneDrive cloud storage for a year, and will be bundled with one year of Microsoft Office 365 Personal, as well as a $25 gift card for use in the Microsoft Store. The 11.6-inch laptop starts at just $199.
